FIELD: treatment of natural water and sewage in ion-exchange filters. SUBSTANCE: proposed ion-exchange filter contains loose (grainy) filtering material placed between permeable fixed partitions; regeneration of filtering material is performed by counter flow method. Proposed filter has cylindrical housing with horizontal strainer whose meshes admit particles of ion-exchange resin and entrap particles of inert resin. Upper ion-exchange resin transfer unit is mounted in filter housing below upper inspection ports and additional transfer unit is located oppositely above these ports. Horizontal strainer is sectional in construction; ion-exchange and inert resin transfer units are made in form of branch pipes. EFFECT: avoidance of losses of inert material. 3 cl, 2 dwg
