FIELD: break-up of nuclear submarines by explosive method during utilization, modification and repair. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes preparation of submarine for break-up, unloading active zone, cutting-out three-compartment block, preparation of this block for storage and delivery of this block to temporary storage point, cutting-out and breaking-up rocket compartment, dismantling equipment, pipe lines and electric cables and scrapping end compartment of submarine. Operations of cutting-out three-compartment block, rocket block and other blocks including end compartments are performed by means of explosion with the submarine afloat with the aid of shaped charges of various types , elongated shaped charges inclusive. In cutting- out three-compartment block, elongated shaped charges are located beyond this block on adjacent compartments at distance not exceeding one frame spacing. For cutting-out the compartments which lose their tightness, ship-raising facilities are delivered, for example pontoons, floating crane, catamaran, special-purpose grips or submarine is placed in pier specially intended for explosive jobs. Proposed method may be used for destruction of ballistic missiles or for emergency repair of nuclear submarines. EFFECT: facilitated procedure; low cost; enhanced ecological safety. 11 cl
