FIELD: electronic switches. SUBSTANCE: electronic commutator circuit has electromagnetic relay device incorporating electromagnet and at least two contacts, controllable semiconductor device, semiconductor command circuit for checking controllable semiconductor device, relay command circuit for checking relay device and semiconductor command circuit, overload sensor for warning relay command circuit about overcurrent, resistor, and inductor. When contacts are open, resistor passes heavy current and automatically warns semiconductor command circuit about this fact with the result that this circuit turns off controllable semiconductor device. In addition inductor builds up electromagnetic induction field whose amplitude is sufficient to force electromagnet of electromagnetic relay device to open contacts when inductor carries overload current exceeding preset threshold value of 400 A within 2 ms upon light-up of pilot signal. EFFECT: reduced time of response to overload currents. 6 cl, 1 dwg
