FIELD: microwave antenna engineering. SUBSTANCE: antenna array specially designed to ensure simultaneous operation with its two inputs being relatively orthogonally polarized has two subarrays one inserted into other, each of them incorporating waveguide sections with radiating slots tilted through 45 deg. to axes of these waveguides and being orthogonal to radiating slots of other subarray; it also has controlled phase shifter and two waveguide dividers each feeding respective subarray; n waveguide sections with radiating slots in each subarray have U-shaped profile, their wide wall measuring a≤0,5λ, where λ- is wavelength in free space; they are tightly abutting against each other to form single radiating aperture; total number of waveguide sections is 2n; radiating slots are made in them in center of wide walls; electric dipoles of height d = (0,25±0,05)λ are installed on either side of longitudinal axis of each slot at distance h = (0,5±0,05)λ from the latter at its center level perpendicular to wide wall; mentioned dipoles are in electric contact with this wall; adjacent relatively orthogonal slots fed by adjacent waveguide sections from different subarrays are assembled in identical pairs and form, together with respective dipoles, m elementary radiators of array which are disposed in aperture in staggered manner; 2 n controlled phase shifters are installed in each output channel of both waveguide divides, n ones per divider, and connected to respective waveguide sections with radiating slots; additionally introduced in array is bridge whose two inputs are connected to two outputs of dividers and two inputs function as antenna array inputs.
