FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: root digger has frame, share with rods, crank mechanism for imparting vertical vibratory motions to share, and mechanism for imparting additional horizontal vibratory motion to share. Share is made in the form of pair of small squeezing shares with rear part defined by two rods and front part made in the form of segment having chord declined to angle less than angle of sliding of plant remains over steel surface. Rids arranged above small shares define separator. Share is driven into vertical and horizontal vibratory motion by means of eccentric mechanism equipped with tip for imparting additional motion in horizontal plane perpendicular to direction of progressive motion of unit through connecting rod. EFFECT: reduced draft, improved digging out and cleaning of roots and reduced adherence of soil and plant remains to share. 3 dwg
