FIELD: amateur fishing. SUBSTANCE: proposed automatic hook setter-shock absorber contains base, lever with spring and catch. Base is essentially elongated plate whose upper part is less in width than lower part being bent at angle of 45o towards larger arms of lever and made stepped relative to plane of plate wider part to limit turning of lever larger arm. Holes are made in upper part of plate to pass fishing line and secure hook setter. Lever is made in form of plate with arms of different length relative to axis of rotation and provided with holes on smaller arm for fastening coiled cylindrical spring at different distance from axis of rotation of lever smaller arm. Lower part of base plate is bent at angle of 45o and is provided with corresponding holes for fastening second end of coiled cylindrical spring. Holes for fixing fishing line are made on larger arm of lever. Connecting ring in installed for free rotation in hole at end face of lever longer arm. Said ring is connected with carrier of swivel. Catch is plate with stop hook for engagement with longer arm of lever. Said plate is turned by its end part through 90o and is made in form of lug with guides forming slot to drive in second carrier of swivel. Catch is hinge secured in lower part of base. EFFECT: improved sensitivity and quality of hook setting at biting, provision of weakening of force acting on to fishing line owing to use of spring. 12 cl
