FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: reactor belongs to the type of apparatuses for production of oxygen-containing motor car gasoline additives, in particular methyl tert-butyl ether, ethyl tert-butyl ether, as well as tert-amyl methyl ether and other additives, production of which involves fine ball catalysts. Reactor is provided with filter means for filtering away fine catalyst and catalyst dust from reaction mass. These means are disposed in upper and lower connecting branches of reactor. Each of them is constructed in the form of perforated cylinder with hole diameter 15-20 mm having also perforated base with the same hole diameter. Cylinder is attached to connecting branch of reactor. Cylinders enclose filtered 100-110 mm high or 200-220 mm for lower connected branch. From the above, filter-bed is pressed by perforated cap with hole diameter 15-20 mm and having protrusion 15 mm high directed into interior of cylinder with the assistance of anchor bolts disposed on cylinder.
