FIELD: petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: method comprises (i) separation of light gasoline fraction on distillation column in vapor phase as side cut simultaneously top distillate (C3-C4-hydrocarbons) and bottom product (stable gasoline); (ii) treating light gasoline fraction with phenol-type inhibitor to prevent thermal polymerization of diene hydrocarbons contained in the fraction; and (iii) bringing the fraction into contact with methanol or ethanol in presence of sulfonic ionite catalyst.
