FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway automatic devices designed for determining position of wheel axle and counting axles of train. Proposed detector contains housing accommodating generator, axle counting channel with oscillatory circuits, positive and negative signal detectors, signal splitter, resistors, high-pass filters, summing amplifier with low-pass filter and track detector generator. Inductance coils of both oscillatory circuits are connected into differential circuit being arranged in series for location along rail in direction of train running in operating position. Signal splitter is made adjustable. Generator output is connected through signal splitter with beginning of inductance coil of first oscillatory circuit and with end of inductance coil of second oscillatory circuit. Second ends of inductance coils of first and second oscillatory circuits are connected with zero wire of differential cut-in circuit. Beginning of inductance coil of first oscillatory circuit and end of inductance coil of second oscillatory circuit are connected, respectively, through first and second resistors with summing control input of generator by positive feedback. EFFECT: provision of high accuracy of measurements irrespective of direction of train running, speed, traction current interferences and ambient medium factor variations. 3 cl, 2 dwg
