FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: rail track circuit for block section occupancy monitoring consists of cable loop sensor (CLS) for pass monitoring and/or wheel pairs counting and/or rail rolling equipment units counting. This sensor represents cable communication system laid between rails of railroad in subgrade formation. Rail track circuit makes possible to determine train position in block and sends signals to stoplight, centralisation and blocking units. Rail track circuit has branched structure of several sensors located in subgrade of inter-rail space. One part of sensors is intended for rolling equipment wheel pairs pass monitoring and/or rail rolling equipment units counting; other sensors are intended for rolling equipment movement direction determination. Cable loop sensor consists of industrial multicore cable, accommodated between rails in subgrade of railroad line. It has receiver and transmitter for signals generated during interaction of rolling equipment metal bodies with electromagnetic field created by cable. The sensor comprises decoder and analyser for received signals, power supply which represents direct current impulse generator.
