SEA WATER DISTILLING UNIT Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: vacuum distillation of sea water; medical and chemical industries; farming; construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed distilling unit includes vertical rows of horizontal hot panels 7 and vertical rows of cold panels 13 which are mounted in evacuated housing 2 at clearance 37 between them. Heating and evaporation of sea water are performed on external sides of hot panels; condensation of steam thus obtained is performed on externals sides of cold panels; working medium (heated water) from additional source of heat is pumped through inner cavities 9 of hot panels and sea water is pumped through inner cavities 14 of cold panels.
