FIELD: thermal power engineering; ecology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the desalination of sea water. A sea water desalination plant is claimed, which contains an adiabatic multi-stage evaporation plant with the production of distillate from sea water. In the upper zone of each of the evaporator stages, two-pass shell-and-tube condensers of the secondary steam are installed, in the middle zone of these stages, louvered separators of the secondary steam are placed, dividing the housings of the steps into the upper condensation and lower evaporation zones with distillate collection chambers. In the lower zone of the steps there are collection chambers of brine connected with bypass pipes of the throttle-spray device. The collection cavities of the distillate of the secondary steam of individual stages are connected to each other by bypass pipes, the cavity of the distillate of the last stage of the evaporator is connected to the distillate withdrawal pipeline to external consumers. The upper part of the last stage housing is connected to the steam compressor, which serves to create a vacuum in the last stage of the evaporator. The outlet of the steam compressor is connected by a low pressure steam line to the upper part of the first stage evaporator housing. The unit is equipped with a hot water boiler connected by a pipeline to an external heat exchanger used to heat sea water exiting the first stage shell-and-tube condenser. In the brine chambers of the stages, thermal-electric heaters are installed, connected with the automatic control system, which serve to additionally heat the brine in the brine chambers, reduce the start-up time of the unit and maintain the required temperatures in the brine chambers, which contributes to the increase in plant maneuverability.
EFFECT: desalination of sea water.
