FIELD: domestic and industrial gas units; protection of gas-supply systems in emergency situations; gas shut-of in case of fire. SUBSTANCE: valve has body provided with internal annular drilling and through hole. Body accommodates ball-shaped spring-loaded gate valve mounted opposite through hole and provided with heat-sensing lock. The latter is disposed in through hole. Lock rod is brought in contact with ball to hold the latter in initial position with aid of retainer offset relative to center line of through hole. Lock is made in the form of externally threaded sleeve with annular collar on butt end. Sleeve is inserted into through hole from body interior and its collar is disposed in annular drilling. Heat-sensing cylinder is installed between sleeve bottom and free end of rod. Cap is turned onto sleeve outside of body. As an alternative valve lock may be made in the form of threaded pipe union with annular collar on butt end. Sleeve is also inserted into through hole from body interior and its sleeve is disposed in annular drilling. Pipe union section outside of body is plugged with cap. Heat-sensing cylinder is installed between free end of rod and cap bottom. EFFECT: facilitated manufacture and reduced manufacturing cost of valve. 2 cl, 7 dwg
