FIELD: plant growing. SUBSTANCE: method involves placing plants on substrate arranged on vegetative dams constructed on water of basin stocked with fish in spaced relation with respect to water surface; providing cyclic agitation of bottom slit under dams during growing period. Vegetative apparatus has frame and floats defining dam, trays having perforated bottom and filled with nutrient substrate. Wicks are positioned in trays. Apparatus is further equipped with slit agitating devices mounted on frame vertically with respect to its surface, in the vicinity of floats. Agitating devices may be formed as rods with lower part formed as inverted funnel. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction of apparatus and improved operation conditions. 4 cl, 1 dwg
