FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed gearbox contains three-shaft coaxial reduction gear with four pairs of gears, three gearshift sleeves, three-member planetary mechanism with gearshift sleeve and output shaft of set with gearshift sleeve coupled through slider with sleeve of planetary mechanism. Two relatively coupled gear shift sleeves provide operation of planetary mechanisms at the following three modes: direct drive, reduction at maximum gear ratio with epicyclic gear stopped, and reduction at reverse direction of output shaft rotation with carrier stopped. Invention improves performance of vehicle owing to increased number of forward speeds, from 14 to 16, and number of reverse speeds, from 1 to 8, at increased efficiency owing to exclusion of planetary mechanism from operation at summing up mode.
