GEARBOX Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2217326 C1

FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automobiles, tractors, road-building machines, mounted equipment drives of special vehicles. Proposed gearbox contains three-shaft reduction unit, simple three-member planetary mechanism installed at outlet of reduction unit, and gearshift sleeves. Primary and secondary shafts of reduction unit, output shaft of planetary mechanism carrier and output shaft of set are coaxial. Reduction unit countershaft is installed parallel to said shafts. Shifter sleeves installed between gears engage them with primary and secondary shafts of said reduction unit. Two intercoupled shifter sleeves provide operation of planetary mechanism in the following three modes: direct drive, maximum gear ratio at epicyclic wheel stopped, and reverse rotation of output shaft at carrier stopped. EFFECT: increased number of forward speeds from 14 to 16 and reverse speeds from 2 to 8 at increased efficiency owing to preventing operation of planetary mechanism at summing mode. 2 dwg
