FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to crawler carrier and it is designed for carrying assault troop transport ferry to provide crossing of water obstacles. According to proposed invention, two members of ferry crew can be carried in control compartment in front of which seats for commander and driver-mechanic are installed behind which seats for ferry crew members are installed across housing, with backrests pointed to each other, and hatch are made in upper head plate and in bottom. Lifting and transportation equipment is provided with hydraulic drive and it includes winch, system of leading blocks, lift and guide frame with hydraulic cylinders of lifting-lowering mechanism and support-and-guide devices forming carrying supports with provision of location of common center of masses of "carrier-ferry" system in center of symmetry of support surface of chassis. Carrier is made with height within the limits of height dimensions of crawler chassis and units and sets of modern tanks T-80 and T-90 are used in its construction. EFFECT: improved operating capabilities of crawler carrier designed for carrying crossing-and-assault ferries of increased length. 4 cl, 6 dwg
