FIELD: biotechnology, microbiology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microbiological method for preparing ecologically pure biopolymer of polyhydroxybutyrate. Method involves fermentation of bacterial culture Alcaligenes eutrophus VKPM B- 5786 in batch regime with feeding with substrate at nitrogen limitation, at continuous stirring and aeration of culture with mixture of synthesis gas with oxygen at 30 C and pH 7.0. Synthesis gas used as a source of hydrogen and carbon dioxide is obtained by steam-and-water gasification of low-grade brown coals. Method ensures to realize the effective process for preparing polyhydroxybutyrate with high yields, to expand raw base and to reduce hydrogen cost that is the main growth substrate.
