FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to operation of pickup incorporating sensitive element in the form of current transformer and measuring pulse unipolar current. Primary winding of transformer is placed in pulse power network and signal indicating value of current in primary winding is picked off secondary winding. Resistor activated during current pause in primary network is connected to leads of secondary winding. Ampere-turns of primary current are equal to sum of ampere-turns of secondary current and ampere-turns of magnetization current. Capacitor is connected in parallel with resistor. High-resistance resistor is chosen on condition of complete damping of oscillation in the course of single half-period which time is shorter than time of minimal current pause in primary network. Core is completely demagnetized during current pause in primary network. EFFECT: expanded functional capabilities of pickup by way of its ensured operation under mode of measurement of pulse unipolar current. 2 dwg
