FIELD: transport engineering; automobile steering system. SUBSTANCE: reversible electric motor operates in response to signals from torque transmitters on steering shaft and speed of automobile. Signals from transmitters are applied to inputs of control system, and control signal is taken from outputs of system and is supplied to power bridge circuit cutting in electric motor. Values of current in armature is determined by current sensor which is essentially a current transformer. Primary winding of current transformer is placed in interrupted current circuit between power bridge circuit and supply source. Control system includes microprocessor to which signals from transmitters are supplied and analog part from outputs of which control signal is removed. Signal on current value from transformer secondary winding is supplied through rectifier and integrating circuit to input of system microprocessor, and through rectifier and divider, to analog part input. EFFECT: improved operation reliability. 12 cl, 1 tbl
