FIELD: electrical engineering; secondary power supply units for modular electronic systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed secondary power supply unit wherein current bursts due to short-time discontinuous voltage dips across primary power supply buses are limited in the course of power unit running under steady state conditions along with limiting input starting current has plus and minus input terminals designed for connection to primary power supply buses, plus and minus output terminals designed for connection to load, as well as transformer, rectifier, ripple filter, first capacitor, electronic switch, control circuit, and electronic current limiter. The latter has adjustable electronic component built around transistor, first diode, first and second resistors, second and third capacitors, and also newly introduced additional second and third diodes and third resistor affording fast discharge of second capacitor and slow discharge of third capacitor during discontinuous voltage dips across primary power supply buses.
EFFECT: ability of limiting current bursts without essential reduction in power unit capacity and efficiency.
