FIELD: solid fuels. SUBSTANCE: briquette is composed of two layers: basic layer and ignition layer. The former consists of coal and the latter contains 25-50% hexamethylenediamine, 5-20% potassium nitrate, and balancing amount of coal. Binding agent is also employed, which is thermoplastic 3,4- polyisoprene or epoxide resin modified by addition of liquid low-molecular butadiene rubber with carboxyl groups at resin-to-rubber molar ratio 1: (0.08-0.1). Briquette easily inflames from a match, resists to moisture, and is easy to manufacture. EFFECT: enhanced inflammability, strength, reduced toxicity, and reduced cost due to use of coal sludge. 3 cl, 3 tbl
