FIELD: sewing equipment. SUBSTANCE: sewing machine has sleeve, platform, mounting device with supporting members for platform, tray with shock-absorbers mounted in sleeve and on platform, stitch forming and cloth feeding mechanisms, zigzag mechanism, zigzag width indicator, upper cover, spring-loaded reel casing pivotally mounted on upper cover, and pressure lug. Sewing machine is further provided with shuttle mechanism having shuttle device, needle carrier mechanism, thread drawing mechanism, and needle carrier rocking frame with spring-loaded horizontal lever, with mentioned parts of sewing machine being mounted in sleeve and on platform and kinematically connected to main shaft. Horizontal lever is adapted to carry rocker arm pivotally mounted thereon, cloth feeding mechanism, zigzag mechanism comprising casing with eyelets, where shaft with large gear and three-center cam is fixed by springs. Cam is engageable with one end of rocket arm, whose other end is engageable with finger of zigzag width selection handle. Large gear is cooperating with small gear fixed on main shaft, with ends of springs being secured on zigzag mechanism casing and ends of shaft cooperating with screws inserted into zigzag mechanism casing. Platform of sewing machine is provided with struts abutting against shack-absorbers freely mounted in tray bottom openings. EFFECT: increased efficiency by reliable and rigid attachment of zigzag mechanism casing in sleeve of sewing machine, reduced material usage and provision for independent adjustment of large and small gear engagement. 13 cl, 8 dwg
