FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: grinder has casing with charging hopper and two grinding chambers positioned under hopper and defined in immovable set of spaced plates. Movable set of knives is mounted for passage between plates of immovable set of plates. Perforated lower shutter is fixed on immovable set of plates. Two grinding chambers and inner edges of knives of movable set of knives have equal diameters. Inner and outer edges of knives of movable set of knives have coinciding centers. Movable set of knives is positioned for simultaneously reciprocating and grinding of roots in both chambers in the process of working and back stroke of movable set of knives. Root grinder of such construction may be mounted in feed production machines. EFFECT: simplified construction and manufacture process and increased efficiency in grinding roots. 5 dwg
