DASHBOARD GLOVE COMPARTMENT WITH SWITCH Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of glove compartment on automobile dashboard which is provided with light switch. Proposed box has housing with cover installed for turning on axle coupled with housing. Housing is provided with light switch made in form of magnetically sensitive switch, for instance, reed relay, with normally closed contacts and arranged in plane trajectory of displacement of permanent magnetic installed on cover. Switch and magnet are installed outside the space of box on its component parts, i/e/ switch is arranged on wall of housing at least partially adjoining dashboard, and magnet is arranged in engine longitudinal stiffening rib of side wall of glove compartment cover. Switch and magnetic are installed by means of cylindrical bodies with end face flanges pointed to each other. EFFECT: improved reliability of box with light switch mounted on dashboard. 4 cl, 2 dwg
