METHOD AND DEVICE FOR WATER TREATMENT Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2208590 C2

FIELD: water treatment, particularly, water disinfection, purification from suspended matter, impurities, heavy metals, imparting the parameters relating to acidity and redux potential close to internal medium of human organism, for instance, for production of high-quality drinkable water. SUBSTANCE: initial water from pressure water source is supplied under conditions of water treatment for filtering in the first filter; treatment of water with d.c. in cathode space of the first electrolytic chamber separated by porous partition into anode and cathode spaces; supply of a part of catholyte flow for electric treatment to anode space of the first electrolytic chamber. Catholyte flows are distributed with help of valve, and treated catholyte and anolyte are withdrawn. Additionally, under conditions of water treatment, prior to withdrawal of catholyte, it is filtered in the second filter and treated with d.c. in cathode space of the second electrolytic chamber. Anolyte from the first electrolytic chamber is directed to anode space of the second electrolytic chamber. After realization of water treatment conditions, evacuation is undertaken, in which the first and second filters are cleaned from mechanical impurities. Upon completion of evacuation, preservation is started to disinfect and to clean device internal wetted surface from precipitate. Claimed method and device provide for prolong period of time and minimal expenditures for production of high-quality drinkable water; attainment of parameters values of water pH and relox close in values to those of human organism internal medium, disinfection and purification of water from mechanical and dissolved impurities without replacement of cartridges and dismantling of electrode units. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 19 cl, 4 dwg
