FIELD: industrial organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to producing tallow colophony ester suitable for a variety of applications where high requirements are raised. Method consists in esterification of tallow colophony with polyatomic alcohol taken at ratio to tallow colophony (0.9-1.1):1 to form product containing tallow colophony ester. Product is evaporated to remove odorous and other volatile components, evaporation being conducted in separate short-run evaporator having evaporation surface and utilizing condensation of evaporated components on condenser disposed near evaporation surface.
