NONWOVEN MATERIALS MANUFACTURED FROM CONTINUOUS TWO-COMPONENT THREADS AND MODIFIED WITH PULP FILAMENTS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2208673 C2

FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: nonwoven material comprises plurality of substantially continuous two-component threads manufactured from first thermoplastic polymer and second thermoplastic polymer, individual two-component threads arranged in individual zones transverse to cross- section, and plurality of pulp filaments introduced into mass of substantially continuous threads. According to other version, absorbing material comprises plurality of substantially continuous two-component threads of propylene polymer and ethylene polymer, individual two-component threads arranged in individual zones traverse to cross- section, and plurality of pulp filaments introduced into mass of substantially continuous threads. Absorbing article for individual's hygiene has absorbing material comprising 5-90 wt% of pulp filaments, 0-90 wt% of superabsorbing material and 3-95 wt% of substantially continuous two-component threads comprising thermoplastic polymer A imparting first desired characteristic to material and second thermoplastic polymer B imparting second desired characteristic to material. Absorbing material combines long life, softness, elasticity and absorptive ability and is capable of retaining large amounts of absorbing pulp filaments in continuous thread matrix regardless of dry or wet state of pulp filaments. EFFECT: improved qualities of nonwoven material and articles manufactured therefrom. 40 cl, 2 tbl, 5 ex
