FIELD: applicable in unit heaters. SUBSTANCE: the unit heater has a body, whose inner side is made with a cavity so as to produce a duct to accommodate the flue; the unit heater has a burner connected to the first end of the pipe, and the first ventilation means connected to the pipe for motion of the gaseous combustion products in the pipe from the first end to its second end; the body has a hole on its upper surface; the hole is connected to the second ventilation means for direction of air to the duct inside the body; and a heat-exchange plate installed between the pipe and the hole, the heat-exchange plate has such a shape that it envelops the pipe upper surface so as to absorb the radiation from it and prevent penetration of air from the hole directly onto the pipe; as a result, gets heated by the heat-exchange plate until it passes downwards through the lower end of the duct. Besides, the unit heater is made in the form of modules and has a pair of end modules and one or more intermediate modules, the end modules and the intermediate modules are made for connection to one another for formation of the unit heater; at least one of the end modules has a burner installed in it, and at least one of the end modules has the first ventilation means installed in it, one or each intermediate module includes an intermediate section of the body, having an intermediate section of the flue and a heat-exchange plate installed on it, the intermediate section of the body has a hole or holes in its upper surface, the hole is connected (the holes are connected) to the second ventilation means for direction of air into the duct inside the body. EFFECT: provided discharge of the heated convective air from the unit heater at a constant level in the length of the unit heater, as well as enhanced efficiency of radiation. 15 cl, 6 dwg
