DEVICE FOR SMOKE DISPOSAL Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: devices for disposal of smoke from room on building storeys through the openings in the wall of the air-relief shafts. SUBSTANCE: the device has a contour, chimney damper, drive electromagnet positioned in a box, holder coupled to the damper through a latch and having a chamfer on the front end, hinge of hand opening of the damper, as well as compression springs and an eccentric clamp. The damper is made in the form of a box-type outer wall and a withdrawable inner wall of restricted stroke. The inner wall has flanges and axles secured on the flanges of the axle, by means of which they are coupled to the outer wall through oblong holes on its side ends. The eccentric clamp has an eccentricity exceeding the stroke of the withdrawable wall, it is installed with the aid of round holes on the horizontal ends of the box-type wall, and to the inner wall it is coupled through oval holes on the flanges. Both walls are pushed apart by springs, and in the working position they adjoin the contour with formation of a packing belt. EFFECT: improved operating characteristics of the device due to creation of a gapless resistance to smoke penetration. 5 dwg
