DEVICE FOR SMOKE DISCHARGE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: devices for discharge of smoke from on building storeys through the openings in the wall of the air-relief shaft. SUBSTANCE: the device has a circuit, shutter, vertical guide rods with thickened upper ends, upper und lower strips, with the aid of which the shutter moves along the opening on rods and gets drawn in to the circuit in the closed position. It also has a driving electromagnet, holder in the form of a sprocket coupled to the armature through a roller suspension, and through a catch - to the shutter, and a sealing. It has additional stopper rods with clamp nuts. Each rod is coupled to the circuit with the aid of two brackets through a bush that is fixed on the rod on both ends by means of lock-nuts. In the closed position the shutter with the aid of the catch is held on the sprocket, and the sprocket proper is held against turning about the axis due to the roller suspension. When the electromagnet is switched on the armature gets discharged from the sprocket. The shutter under gravity turns the sprocket, falls down and is held on the base of the circuit by means the down restraining arm. EFFECT: improved operating characteristics. 3 dwg
