FIELD: determination of level of media in tank-body trucks, aircraft tanks, etc. SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in laying-out geodetic baseline near object under test, placing measuring instrument at terminal points of base-line, performing relative orientation of measuring instrument and setter of light marks and directing laser beam to object under test. Used as measuring instrument is electronic photographic camera of infra-red band of electromagnetic waves with change light filters. Laser rule is used as setter of light marks. Then, photographic survey is performed and distance to light mark and focal distance of objective are recorded in computer. Instruments are referred to other points and photographic survey is performed at i-point. Still pictures are introduced into computer in graphic file format and photogrammetric treatment is performed. Level of medium in tank is determined as difference between height of lowest point of its interior and horizontal surface of medium. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy. 2 cl, 6 dwg
