FIELD: building materials for ionizing radiation shielding parts. SUBSTANCE: composite for producing radiation- shielding materials incorporates following components, mass percent: sulfur, 4.98-5.98; modifying dope, 0.1-0.12; filler (optical glass production wastes having specific surface area of 1800-2000 sq. cm/g), 7.07-8.50; mineral powder, 0.49-0.59; metallic fiber, 84.80-87.35. Parts manufactured around proposed composite are distinguished by following properties: average density, 7410-9600 kg/cu. m; compression strength, 51.8-76.3 MPa; water absorption within 24 h, 0.08-0.05%; shock resistance, 123.8-236.2 MJ/cu. m. EFFECT: improved quality of parts made of proposed composite. 1 cl, 2 tbl
