FIELD: industry o building materials. SUBSTANCE: composite for gypsum articles making comprises the following components, wt.%: gypsum binding agent, 7.97-9.36; milk whey, 0.1-0.15; waste from production of optic glass with specific surface 1800-2000 cm2/g, 7.24-8.49; metallic pellets with particles size 3-4 mm, 76.51-79.84; mineral addition, 0.72-0.84; water, 4.7-4.11. Invention can be used for making articles based on gypsum binding agents designated for protection from ionizing radiation. EFFECT: increased average density value of gypsum articles. 1 tbl
