FIELD: electrical machines. SUBSTANCE: brush gear has U-shaped stop 15 for spring-holder plate 12 and lock 8 of flexible plate 13, bottom end 18 of the latter being disposed between walls 16 and 17 of U- shaped stop for its easy movement between walls of U-shaped stop. Coiled spring 9 is assembled of a number of self-coiling parallel strips 19, 20, 21 to form coil 10 disposed inside brush- holder body 1. Brush-holder plate 12 has projection 22, pin 2 of body 1 being fitted between the latter and U-shaped stop 15. Proposed design incorporates provision for damping impact and variable loads on brushes while electrical machine is running thereby eliminating chipping and reducing wear of brushes. EFFECT: enhanced service life and facilitated handling and replacement of brushes. 4 cl, 5 dwg
