POTATO WASHER Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: dishware, namely for manual washing of root crops such as potatoes. SUBSTANCE: washer includes body with protrusions on inner surface. There are water draining openings in bottom of washer and they may be simultaneously closed by means of plate-like member at placing washer into sink. Lid of washer is closely covered and it has water supply branch pipe. Legs are asymmetrically secured to lower surface of lid. Root crops are placed in washer in such a way that they are arranged lower than edge of body by 5 cm. Then body of washer is placed into sink, covered with lid and water is poured into it through branch pipe. After manipulating handles of washer lid while holding edge of its body by ends of fingers, 20 -30 oscillations of washer are performed and then it is raised and water is drained out of it. Such procedure is repeated; if drained water is not sufficiently clean (not transparent) procedure is repeated once more. After washing it is possible to use lid for collecting peels. EFFECT: simplified design, lowered water consumption, prevention of water splashing, reduced consumption of material, time and labor for making and using article. 1 dwg
