FIELD: chemistry, petroleum chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bleaching organic compounds taken among α-olefins, their oxides, divinyl, propylene trimers, lower glycols and their ethers by treatment of colored organic compound with a bleaching reagent. Invention proposes to use oil-soluble nitrogen- and/or sulfur-containing compound as a bleaching agent taken among dyes of anthraquinone or arylmethane or phthalocyanine order or azodyes exhibiting absorption in visible region of spectrum from 5 600 to 7 300 and taken in the amount from 0.005 to 5 ppm per amount of colored organic compound. Bleaching agent can be feed into isolation column or column of preliminary isolation of organic compound separately or in mixture with inhibitor of thermopolymerization.
