FIELD: electric water heaters, possibly used for heating and supplying hot water to residence buildings and industrial rooms in closed and in open heating systems. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is provided in addition with terminal and central electrodes arranged coaxially relative to main electrode, insulated from it and made of electrically conductive material with low work function of electrons. Central additional electrode is in the form of rod, it is arranged in cavity of main electrode. Terminal additional electrode is in the form of perforated tube and it is placed around main electrode. Transformer with adjustable magnetic shunt is used as power source. One tap of secondary winding of said transformer is connected with central additional electrode; second tap of secondary winding is connected with one tap of primary winding and with main electrode. The last through regulating member such as semistor is connected with terminal additional electrode. EFFECT: increased concentration of electric current carriers in electric circuits of boiler, enhanced averaged assumed factor of electric energy to heat conversion. 2 cl, 1 dwg
