FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: device for arc discharge generation includes an arc lighter, a current-limiting resistor and a given current set-point device. The arc lighter contains a step-up autotransformer, a starting capacitor, a high-voltage rectifier, a charge-storage capacitor, diodes, a bridge rectifier, a power transformer, a power supply, a filtering capacitor, a time-proportioning on/off controller block, a summation unit, a given current set-point device and a time-proportioning on/off controller block. Additionally the device contains (series-connected) a flame illumination control unit, a threshold element and a time interval generator.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase operational flame ignition reliability and to provide for prompt start-up of a boiler in case of flame failure.
