FIELD: radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed method and device may be used for coherent reception in backward code-division multiple access channel in compliance with IS-95 standard in case of complex destabilizing actions of signal fading, Doppler frequency shift, and instability of standard generators of base and mobile stations. Method includes evaluation of signal phase in the course of one power control group and application of estimate obtained to those of signal delayed by one power control group thereby enabling reception independent of data transmission speed. EFFECT: enhanced noise immunity at all transmission speeds which is equivalent to enhanced cell capacity. 2 cl, 9 dwg
