METHOD OF AUTOMATIC FREQUENCY CONTROL AND DEVICE FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: method can be employed in wide-band cellular radio communication systems for correction of frequency of reference generator needed for coherent reception of messages. Two versions of realization of method of automatic frequency control use Q consistent iterations and time t of coherent accumulation of correlation evaluations on i-th iteration is chosen as least of two values, one of them being equal to n/F and the other one being equal to interval of stationarity of channel. In agreement with second version same operations as in first version are conducted and readings of phase are employed then for precise automatic frequency control. Devices for realization of method in correspondence with both versions have first unit for frequency evaluation incorporating n parallel frequency channels each including multipliers and evaluation former. According to second version automatic frequency control device is added with control unit and second evaluation former incorporates adder, phase former, phase smoothing unit, frequency shift evaluation unit and averager. EFFECT: accurate frequency control with low signal-to-noise ratio for received signal. 4 cl, 6 dwg
