PLANETARY GRANULATOR Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: granulation of powder-like materials for production of fine spherical granules of strong adsorbents and catalysts; chemical, petrochemical, medical and other industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed planetary granulator includes frame, carrier with main shaft and drive, forming drums with bearings, additional shaft, sun gear wheel, satellites of carrier and drum. Additional shaft has gear wheel and independent drive; it is mounted in parallel with main shaft. Sun gear wheel is mounted on frame for rotation around its axis from gear wheel of additional shaft. Granulator is additionally provided with loading bin, proportioner, compressor, loading pipe line, guide bushes with springs, guide rods, unloading drive with forked lever and unloading casing. Loading pipe line has loading receiver and distributing part. Guide bushes are mounted in drums. Guide rods are connected to drum covers. Ends of distributing part of loading pipe line are communicated with drums through holes in their covers. EFFECT: possibility of performing continuous procedure. 3 dwg
