FIELD: medicine, microbiology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agents used for water treatment with metal ions to confer them antibacterial properties. The proposed composition consists of silver, copper ions and citric acid solution taken in the concentration, g/l: silver ions, 0.00002-0.05; copper ions, 0.0-1.0; citric acid, 0.5-1000. For improvement of sanitary-chemical and physical properties sodium chloride taken in the amount 5.0-25.0 g/l is added to solution additionally. Composition provides high antibacterial properties and possibility of its using without permissible values for silver and copper ions in treated water, among them, drinking water. Invention provides the development of composition based on silver and copper ions and optimally combining effectiveness, economy and prolonged effect. Invention can be used for sanitary-hygienic measures, in food industry, for preparing curative-prophylactic solutions, for pools disinfection.
