FIELD: transport engineering; electrical equipment of automobiles. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control systems of carburetor internal combustion engines with forced ignition of fuel-air mixture. According to proposed method, sparking signal is formed depending on signal from pickup-distributor defining engine speed and position of crankshaft, signals from pickup-distributor and absolute pressure pickup measuring load on internal combustion engine by degree of rarefaction in behind-the throttle space of carburetor. Then sparking signals for each cylinder are formed with due account of its efficiency in operation. Microprocessor ignition system contains electrically intercoupled ignition coil, spark plugs, pickup-distributor. Said system includes additionally ignition controller, absolute pressure pickup, microswitch of override duty economizer, electromagnetic valve of override duty economizer and ignition controller which contains supply source, microprocessor, intelligent ignition switch, voltage-frequency converter and control circuit of override duty economizer. EFFECT: provision of almost complete combustion of fuel mixture at all duties. 3 cl, 4 dwg
