FIELD: measurement technology, measurement of duration of processes in spark-plugs with aperiodic or oscillatory discharge, devices of similar assignment. SUBSTANCE: universal meter of spark duration has voltage pickup, first and second double-threshold level discriminators, counter, differentiating unit comprising inverter and AND gate, intermediate storage, storage controlling unit incorporating counter and AND gates, storage. Output of voltage pickup is connected to two discriminators. Output of first discriminator is connected to first input of counter and to first input of differentiating unit, output of discriminator is coupled to second input of differentiating unit. Output of the latter is connected to second input of counter, to first input of intermediate storage and to first input of storage controlling unit. First output of counter is coupled to second input of intermediate storage, second output of counter is connected to second input of storage controlling unit. Output of intermediate storage is connected to input of storage, output of storage controlling unit is coupled to storage. EFFECT: widened functional potential of meter thanks to addition of capability to measure duration of spark of aperiodic discharge, increased measurement accuracy. 5 dwg
