FIELD: machine engineering and other branches of technology, namely manufacture of multistrand twisted springs. SUBSTANCE: spool is mounted on rest of lathe. Said spool includes reels with mechanisms for twisting and tensioning wire, for example arranged radially on spool in such a way that drive gear wheels of spool perform rolling motion around stationary central gear wheel mounted in the same axis with spool. The last rotates through shaft with spline groove and set of gear wheels with key placed in body of spool from common drive unit. EFFECT: synchronization and combination of processes of twisting rope and winding it on mandrel at simultaneous twisting and tensioning wire. 6 dwg
