FIELD: manufacture of means of armor protection, in particular, woman vest. SUBSTANCE: the multilayer armor is made of a great number of layers of flexible, relatively non-elastic, difficult to pierce material corresponding to the complex shape of the protected region of the body. The armor has a great number of tucks in successively positioned layers of material. At least one tuck containing a V-shaped section is made in each layer, the section edges are connected at production of the tuck, and a fold is laid on the V-shaped section, which is bent to one side with formation of an additional thickening from above or from below in the adjoining part of the layer. The tucks in the layers are positioned one relative to the other with an angular shift, and the V-shaped folds are oriented for uniform distribution of the additional thickening around the protected region. At least one layer of the material that is difficult to pierce contains fabric, impregnated or coated with a layer of strengthening substance around the protected region with the exception of the V-shaped section, so that the V- shaped section consists only of fabric. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of protection against a gunshot wound and enhanced degree of comfort. 23 cl, 20 dwg, 1 ex
