SUBSTANCE: transformer designed to attain both flat and drooping current-voltage characteristics across load has magnetic core carrying primary, secondary, and auxiliary windings. Primary winding has phase coils AX, BY, CZ disposed on respective legs and may be connected to supply mains, for instance in star. Same legs carry secondary winding that has phase coils ax, by, cz with taps a1,b1,c1. Auxiliary magnetic circuit carrying auxiliary winding also provided with tap a2 is connected to magnetic core extreme legs in parallel with one of yokes, for instance to upper one.
