FIELD: digital data transmission. SUBSTANCE: method can be used for frame synchronization in noise- immune protective systems using correcting codes including cascade ones. Coincidence number of numbering and synchronizing trains used for detecting frame synchronization includes communication channel quality. In the process communication channel quality is estimated by total reliability of code words received with coinciding numbering and synchronizing trains. Reliability of code words received is estimated in its turn including weights whose values depend on repetition rate of errors corrected in code word. EFFECT: enhanced noise immunity of frame synchronization when operating in transient variable-parameter communication channels at high noise. 1 cl, 1 dwg
