FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: the suggested method deals with surgical correction of ametropia in patients with presbyopia. At first, one should affect cornea of leading eye with exymer laser to achieve ametropic refraction, then - cornea of paired eye to achieve weak-degree myopia by taking into account patient's age. Impact is performed onto corneal stroma in area of developed bottom under folding-back surface valve upon pedicle. Valve should be put to its place. Value of planned anisometropia for developing weak-degree myopia upon paired eye should be determined by algorithm: where D - degree of planned anisometropia for developing weak-degree myopia upon paired eye (diopter), h - optimal distance necessary for patient for professional activity at hand, (m), K_pf - coefficient of fusion strength, A - reserve of absolute accommodation of leading eye (D), F_pos - positive part of focal area of paired eye (D), Y - patient's age (years), POS(x) = 0, if x<0, POS(x) = x, if x>0,0,6 - correction coefficient.
